Individual, Couples and Family Therapy
Individual, Couples and Family Therapy

My interest in observing and understanding human relationships began early in life. Over the years, I have been fortunate to combine my love for learning with my curiosity about the world. After earning my B.A. in Psychology in Vienna, Austria, I pursued further studies in Systemic Family Treatment in Spain, and later completed my M.S. in Couples and Family Therapy in the United States. Through these diverse academic and cultural experiences, I have deepened my understanding of the universal human need for connection, empathy, and a listening ear. Working across different countries and cultures has enriched my therapeutic perspective, reinforcing my belief that healing and growth thrive within compassionate and understanding relationships. I offer services in English, Albanian, Spanish and Italian.

In the age of social media, it is important to keep in mind how labels, self diagnosing and misuse of clinical terms can stall connection and a sense of belonging. My training and approach are grounded in a non-pathologizing perspective that emphasizes the reciprocal impact within human relationships
Systemic Psychotherapy endorses a circular, interactional observation of the individual and it's bio- psycho- social context. Focus is placed on meaning making through language, communication and relationships. In order to understand a Family System or Group, Systemic Psychotherapy observes how interactions between members create a loop of continual influence or adaptation.
In Individual Systemic Therapy, behavior is understood as a product interdependence between individual and biological, psychological, family, relational and cultural context. Encourages the individual's and couples' growth starting with healthy "departure" from family of origin. Moreover, it focuses on changing relational and communication patterns, which shape new and adaptive narratives.
Relational Psychodynamic Psychotherapy views psychological distress as stemming from unconscious patterns (such as defense mechanisms) which are repetitive and rooted in childhood experiences. Exploration of and internal integration of primary relationships during early stages of development are viewed as being re-enacted in current relationships. The mutual influence between psychotherapist and client, helps understand, recognize and transform these patterns. Attachment Theory and Object Relations are few of the theoretical roots to relational psychodynamic modality.
Existential Psychotherapy is a here and now, depth- oriented approach. Often effective in the exploration of anxiety, meaninglessness, identity shifts, feelings of emptiness, lack of purpose, and existential isolation.
I am fully trained in and utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), alongside various trauma-informed approaches such as Psychodynamic therapy, DBT, and Narrative Therapy.
